Winning Symbols

There are a total of 12 or rather 13 winning symbols present in The Finer Reels of Life WOWPot! These can be divided into 6 lower paying symbols and 6 high-tier symbols. Let’s start right off with the low-tier symbols. These are represented by the classic Royal symbols, which are winning symbols from 9 to A. Payouts will be pretty similar between the low-tier symbols. 9’s and 10’s clock in at 3.33 times your bet size per full way. Next up are the J’s and Q’s, which will already net you 4.16 times your bet size. And at last are K’s and A’s, paying you 5 times your bet size per full way.

The higher paying symbols will be a collection of the finer things in life. So first we will find a bunch of chocolates, clocking in at 8.33 times your bet size per full way. Next is the cup of (probably) coffee, which will net you 10 times your bet size. Would you like some cheese with your wine? These will pay you 11.66 times your bet size. Coming in next are the whiskey and cigar, paying 13.33 times your bet size. Let’s get on to our final two symbols. The first of these is the champagne, which is clocking in at 15 times your bet size. And last but not least is the crystal clear diamond, which will net you 16.66 times your bet size for a full way of these.

Now you might wonder why we mentioned a 13th winning symbol. Well, this is because the diamond will not be our top symbol. There is another symbol that will net you even more, but we will cover this in detail later.

Scatter Symbol

The scatter symbol will be portrayed by a golden star with the label „BONUS“ and five more stars underneath the label. Wild Symbol

Wild symbols will play a massive role in The Finer Reels of Life WOWPot! They are shown by a square with a golden border with the logo of the game on it and the label „WILD“. They will substitute for any winning symbol except scatter symbols. They also have their own payout. As we mentioned before, there are quite a few features we need to explore in The Finer Reels of Life WOWPot! So let’s get right into it.

WOWPot

First we’ll take a look at what makes this version of Finer Reels of Life so special. This will of course be the WOWPot feature. For those of you who have never heared of it, this is one of the two progressive jackpots of Games Global, with the other one being the Mega Moolah jackpot. The WOWPot is highly sought after, as it reaches record breaking values. There are 4 jackpots to win: Mini, Minor, Major and of course the WOWPot.

But how do you actually win these? This is rather simple. On any spin you make in The Finer Reels of Life WOWPot!, you will be able to trigger the jackpot wheel at random. On this wheel you will find fields with different colours, each resembling one of the jackpots: Brown for Mini, Red for Minor, Orange for Major and Green for WOWPot. Once the feature is triggered, you just press the „Spin“ button in the middle of the wheel and hope that it will land on the highest possible jackpot.

As with many of these progressive jackpots, having a higher bet size while playing will increase your chances of triggering the feature. In the rare occassion that you should trigger both the jackpot feature and the free spins feature at the same time, the jackpot feature will play first.

Wild Celebration

One of the most desired features is the Wild Celebration feature. This one can occur randomly on any base game spin. In this feature, 1 to 5 reels will turn into wild reels, filling the whole reel with bubbly champagne and the label „WILD“. Keep in mind though, that reels will turn wild in order from left to right. If, for example, reel 2 has turned wild first, it means that reel 1 cannot turn wild afterwards. It used to be completely random in previous version and iterations of The Finer Reels of Life, but has been changed for unknown reasons. The second thing to be aware of, is that during Wild Celebration, you cannot trigger the Free Spins feature whatsoever. Scatters cannot appear on the reels during this feature.

Free Spins Features

3 or more scatter symbols in the same spin will let you enter the Finer Features selection. When triggering, you will be brought to a selection screen. There are 4 different features available, but you will need to unlock them one by one. With each trigger, you will collect a star. In order to unlock the next feature, you will need to collect 4 stars, with the next feature being available at the fifth trigger. The order in which you unlock them is: Coffee & Chocolate, Wine & Cheese, Whisky and Cigars, Champagne & Diamonds. You are not required to choose another feature in order to unlock the next one. For example, you can play the Coffee & Chocolate feature all the way until you have unlocked Champagne & Diamonds. Each of the 4 choices comes with their own free spins feature and unique mechanics.

Coffee & Chocolate

Choosing the Coffee & Chocolate feature will grant you 10 free spins. During these 10 free spins, you will get a multiplier of x5 on all wins. This does count for doubled wins via the wild symbol, as well as scatter wins.

Retriggering this feature is possible, landing 3 or more scatters will grant you another 10 free spins.

Wine & Cheese

The Wine & Cheese feature will be your second available feature. This feature will introduce another special symbol exclusive to this feature, called the Wild Wine symbol. It can only ever appear on reel 3 and is portrayed by a cork imprint with the label „Wild Wine“. When landing this symbol, it will transform any amount of symbols on the reels 1 to 5 into additional wild symbols.

This feature can also be retriggered, hitting 2, 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will grant you 1, 2, 3 or 4 free spins respectively.

Whisky and Cigars

The Whisky and Cigars feature will grant you 20 free spins, as well as introduce the Burning Wilds mechanic. With this mechanic, any winning way will receive a 2x or 3x multiplier to it. The maximum multiplier will be 6x if both multipliers are active.

Other than the first two features, this feature cannot be retriggered.

Champagne & Diamonds

Our last feature will be the Champagne & Diamonds feature. When choosing this feature, you will get 25 free spins. Additionally, this feature will introduce the Rolling Reels mechanic. This one is pretty much the same as the Tumble Wins mechanic. For those of you unfamiliar, Tumble Wins means that symbols, that where part of a winning combination, are removed and new symbols will fall in. However, this is not the only mechanic that awaits you in the Champagne & Diamonds feature. Additionally, you will get multipliers on your wins based on the amount of tumbles in one spin. Every tumble will increase the global multiplier by +1, up to a maximum of 5x. If no more tumble is possible, your spin will end and the global multiplier is reset.

Just like the Whisky and Cigars feature, you will not be able to retrigger the Champagne & Diamonds feature.

The Finer Reels of Life has been one of the most classic online slot games of Games Global. Together with slot games like Immortal Romance or Thunderstruck 2, The Finer Reels of Life has been one of the games that made Games Global to the entertainment company it is today. But how does the WOWPot version fare in comparison to the original?

This is hard to tell. Of course, the WOWPot version features everything the original did. And with that being said, it is still just as much fun as the original. But one thing players need to be aware of is the pretty low RTP, which is of course thanks to the WOWPot feature. So if you don’t really care about the jackpot feature, we would advise you to play the original version, which has a lot higher RTP. Additionally, the WOWPot version of The Finer Reels of Life features a much lower max win potential. Where the original featured a max win of 12,000 times your bet size, the max win of the WOWPot version is capped at 8,100 times your bet size. Pretty big difference.

All in all, the only reason you should play this version is because of the WOWPot feature. The original version is far superior if you just want to play the game for, well, the game itself.
