Book of Kemet actually only features one single Special symbol, and this is the Book of Kemet itself. The book is engraved with 3 crystals and an eye on the bottom. This Special symbol has two different uses in the game. First of all it functions as a Scatter symbol. If you manage to land 3 or more books in one single spin, you will be granted Free Spins. The second use the book has is that is serves as a Wild symbol. The book will substitute for any winning symbol. So Wilds have no payout themselves, instead, if you are lucky enough to get a full line of books, you will be granted the payout of the highest symbol, which would be the Explorer.

This will be your special symbol. Now every time your special symbol has landed often enough that it could be a win on its own on a line, it will expand. So for example, 10’s would expand if 3 or more are visible, Explorer would already expand at 2 visible symbols. When your symbol expands, it will pay its value on all 10 winning lines, no matter on which reel they land. Important to know is, that the Wild symbol will not substitute for expanding symbols.

Retriggering is also possible and even crucial. You might have already noticed that the screen expanded. You now have a top bar, showing you all the symbols, and the one you got is lit up. Upon retriggering, with 3 or more books in one spin, you will be granted 10 additional Free Spins, as well as another special symbol. The feature will end once every spin has been used or the max win potential has been reached.

• Bonus Buy Feature

Although Book of Kemet is „just“ a copy of one of BGamings earlier games, „Dig Dig Digger“, it still has its own charme. BGaming did a beautiful job in converting the more humoristic attempt of Dig Dig Digger into a serious book game, that can easily compete with other book games on the market.

But in the end Book of Kemet is „only“ a book game. That doesn’t mean that it’s bad or anything. Book games are among the most played games on the market, and probably always will be. But we also see so many of them for that particular reason, which is fine, as long as the game is made good. And Book of Kemet is among those good made games.

All in all, Book of Kemet brings a lot of fun. The Bonus Buy Feature is great, especially since you can pick with how many symbols you want to start. The Bonus Chance extra bet is also great, although we would have wished to know how many spins you would need on average. However, we are very pleased with Book of Kemet.
