Excalibur Unleashed is played on 5 reels with a 3-5-5-5-3 pattern and 20 lines. If you´re not familiar with this pattern we will briefly explain it for you. The first and last reel got three positions on them the middle reels got five, resulting in the before motioned pattern. Three identical symbols on adjacent reels on the selected pay lines result in a win. The slot pays from the left to the right and from the right to the left. Excalibur Unleashed told us King Arthurs story in a manner we are used from Pragmatic Play slots, and they did a great job with that once again. Nice deigns and a setting fitting the chosen theme helping the slot to stand out.

That Pragmatic Play slots have nice game mechanics and visuals is known, but what about the gameplay? Excalibur Unleashed is an innovative slot but even exiting moments, like wilds with high multipliers, can result in very disappointing results because of the slots high volatility. The 3-5-5-5-3 pattern, expanding wilds and the fact that the slot pays in both directions is a good slod idea but also being the only thing, the slot has to offer to distinguish itself from other slots.

So, what do we think about Excalibur Unleashed? The slot isn´t a bad slot for sure, but it has its frustrating moments, but that’s the bitter taste that comes with high volatility games and that does not mean there are no exciting ones at all.
