Benji Killed in Vegas: Slot Overview

We all know that NoLimit City sometimes have weird ideas for online slot games. Just take Walk of Shame for an example, many online slot providers would not even think about making a game with this specific kind of theme. And here we are again, just one release later, NoLimit City took their successful slot East Coast vs West Coast and developed something that is supposedly a spiritual successor: Benji Killed in Vegas.

Benji Killed in Vegas is played on 5 reels with 3 rows and an extra row at the top, which we will explain later. The game uses winning ways to determine wins. The amount of winning ways is not capped, which means that they get enhanced by a number of different mechanics. Bet sizes range from 0.20€ to 100€ (or equivalent). They may vary depending on where you play.

NoLimit City decided that less is more and went with 8 winning symbols in total, 5 of them on the lower end and only 3 higher tier symbols. Let’s begin with the lower tier symbols. First up are the Brass Knuckles for 0.7-times your bet size per full way. Next is the Gun for 0.8-times your bet size. In the middle you’ll find the Poker Chip for 0.9-times your bet size. Our fourth lower tier symbol will be the Boxing Glove, coming in at 1-time your bet size. And last but not least are the Golden Teeth for 1.5-times your bet size per full way.

Now let’s see what NoLimit City came up with on the higher end. And as we mentioned already, you can kind of describe Benji Killed in Vegas as the spiritual successor of East Coast vs West Coast. That’s why you will find historical american person on the higher end. These symbols always appear in stacks of 3. First up we have „G og“, referring to George Washington, coming in at 5-times your bet size for a full way. The second symbol is „Ab“, referring to Abraham Lincoln, clocking in at 12.5-times your bet size already. And the last symbol is „Ben G“, referring to Benjamin Franklin, paying you 30-times your bet size for a full way.

Benji Killed in Vegas: Special Symbols and Stats

Benji Killed in Vegas Slot: Base game

As per usual, NoLimit City features a variety of Special symbols.

First up is the Scatter symbol. This one is represented by a dice. Land at least 3 Scatter symbols in the same spin to enter the Vegas$ Spins. Scatters also play a roll (no pun intended) in the 2 Dice respin, which we will cover later on in the Feature Overview.

Next we’re going to explain the top row to you. These are called Enhancer Cells. Enhancer Cells are only ever active in the 2 Dice Respin or the Vegas$ Spins. Enhancer Cells can land xMultipliers or xSplit symbols. xSplit symbols split all symbols on their respective reel, including Overlay Multipliers.

Speaking about Overlay Multipliers, these can also only show up in 2 Dice Respins or Vegas$ Spins. Overlay Multipliers are a sort of new mechanic introduced in this game. As the name suggests, they are overlaying one random field on the playing board. Whenever a win passes through these Overlay Multipliers, their Multiplier is applied to the win. If a win passes through more than one Multiplier, their values are added together and are then applied. This is where the xMultipliers from the Enhancer Cells come in play, their value is added to an Overlay Multiplier if it is on their respective reel.

The last special symbol is the Nudging xWild. This symbol is portrayed by a boxer and the label „Wild“. As the name suggests, if it lands on the playing board, it will nudge, granting you +1 to the win multiplier for any nudge. Before payout, the Wild multiplier will multiply with any other multiplier that is part of the winning combination. The Wild symbol will substitute for any winning symbol except Scatters and can only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4.

We also have some stats for Benji Killed in Vegas. The game comes with a base RTP of 96.04%. The max win potential is capped at 10,000-times your bet, which is actually pretty low for NoLimit City standards. The chances of getting one of these is roughly once in 3,800,000 spins on average. You can expect a win around every 4 to 5 spins. And your chances of triggering a Bonus Feature are once every 192 spins. As always, these are just the average numberw and no guarantee for anything.

Benji Killed in Vegas: Feature Overview

Benji Killed in Vegas Slot - Free Spins

Benji Killed in Vegas comes with several features that we would like to share with you.

  • 2 Dice Respin

Whenever you land 2 Scatter symbols but not a third one, you will be granted one respin with 2 active Overlay Multipliers and Enhancer Cells activated. If you manage to land a third Scatter, you will be granted Vegas$ Spins.

  • Dead Presidents Nudge

Whenever one of the higher paying symbols lands fully stacked on one of the first 3 reels, it turns into a Dead President. If this president is now present on one of the other reels as well, it will nudge, granting a +1 multiplier and turning it into a Scatter payout. So you need at least 3 of the same Dead Presidents in order to get a win. The multipliers of the nudge are then added and applied to the win. Interestingly, although they are stacked, they only pay for 1 way.

  • Vegas$ Spins

3 Scatters in the same spin will put you into the Vegas$ Spins. You will be starting with 9 Free Spins. During the feature there are 3 Overlay Mutlipliers active, as well as the Enhancer Cell row. Overlay Multipliers start with x2, x3 and x4. The Overlay Multipliers will be roaming in every spin, although there is a possibility that an Overlay Mutliplier will not change its position. However, there can never be 2 Overlay Multipliers on the same position. The Multipliers are reset after every spin. Enhancer Cells will spin again in every spin. Land one or two more Scatter symbols to get +2 Free Spins per Scatter and to upgrade to the B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins.

  • B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins

B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins are awarded by landing 4 or 5 Scatters initially or by upgrading the Vegas$ Spins by landing another Scatter symbol. Triggering with 4 or 5 Scatters will grant you 11 or 13 Free Spins respectively. The B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins basically work the exact same way like the normal Vegas$ Spins work, but you will have more Overlay Multipliers and the Multipliers will not reset their value. The fourth and fifth Multipliers will start with x5 or x6 respectively. After getting your fifth Overlay Multiplier, no more extra spins are possible.

  • xBet Blue

With the xBet mechanic you can pay extra for certain features. On the upper right side of the screen you will find the xBet Blue option. This option will cost you an additional 50% that is added to your base bet. When activated, you are guaranteed one Scatter symbol on the first reel, making it 3-times more likely to enter the Vegas$ Spins and doubles your chance to get the B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins. Payouts are not affected by this, so all winnings are based on your base bet value.

  • xBet Red

For the first time, NoLimit City offers two different types of xBet. The xBet Red will allow you to pay 9-times your bet size and basically gives you a 2 Dice Respin. 2 Overlay Multipliers will be active, as well as the Enhancer Cell row. Landing one Scatter is enough to grand you the Vegas$ Spins. During the xBet Red it is 15-times more likely to enter the Vegas$ Spins and 50-times more likely to enter the B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins. But keep in mind, winnings are payed out based on your base bet value.

  • Bonus Buy Feature

As with many NoLimit City games, Benji Killed in Vegas comes with a Bonus Buy Feature. You can pay 50-times your bet size to enter the regular Vegas$ Spins. But you can also pay 300-times your bet size to enter the B.I.G. Vegas$ Spins. And if you’re feeling really lucky, you can buy the Mystery Pick bonus for 100-times your bet size. Here you will have an 80% chance to enter the regular Free Spins, and a 20% chance to enter the upgraded version.

Benji Killed in Vegas: Our Conclusion

Benji Killed in Vegas is definitely on of the more fun games released by NoLimit City in recent times. Compared to Walk of Shame, the base game has much more action and is not as stale.

The Free Spin Features are nicely designed. Although the normal Vegas$ Spins may not have that much of a potential, they still allow for excitement when the Enhancer Cells do their job. And to be fair, it doesn’t feel too hard to trigger the Free Spins Feature.

Having two xBet options is something we were really surprised of. The xBet mechanic is nothing new, having two of them is though. We are very sure that many people will try their luck with the xBet Red, as it brings much more thrill to the base game.

All in all we had lots of fun with Benji Killed in Vegas. We had a blast testing it and seeing all the new features NoLimit City thought of. This concludes our online slot review about Benji Killed in Vegas. We’re sure that you will have just as much fun as we had and hopefully we could answer all of your questions.
